Experience on the floor, not just at the desk

Piotr joined Baltic Strategy & Development in November 2017. Over the last 7 years, he has conducted 86 audits in manufacturing plants and distribution centers in Pomerania. Before becoming an auditor, he worked directly in logistics operations for 14 years. He knows the errors that really hurt floor workers and generate losses. Numbers don't lie – his last project in a plant in Tczew shortened loading time by 21.4% without buying new forklifts.

We cut unnecessary movements in the warehouse

His approach is based on eliminating waste of time and space. Piotr doesn't look for expensive technologies if the problem is a poor rack layout or unclear procedures. In March 2024, he helped a company in Gdynia recover 247 square meters of warehouse space. A change in goods rotation and reorganization of the packing zone was enough, taking us exactly 11 business days. A concrete plan instead of theory is standard for him.

  • Analysis of 34 key touchpoints in the supply chain where money leaks.
  • Implementation of work standards that actually work, not just look pretty in instructions.
  • Reduction of empty forklift runs by an average of 3.2 km daily per machine.

Results measured in zlotys

Honestly, Piotr hates bulky reports that end up in the president's drawer. Every one of his audits ends with a list of 11 specific improvements to be introduced immediately. These are changes visible in the company's operating costs after the first full month of work. The average return on implementation of his recommendations in 2023 was 4.7 months.

Heads-up: Piotr always starts by observing the night shift's work, because that's where communication gaps between warehouse and transport most often appear.
